Historic home on the shores of Lake Champlain

Description

Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, the house is a large, beautifully decorated historic home. There are  three acres of expansive lawns with flower gardens and an organic vegetable patch.  The 600 feet of private shoreline adjoin the Missiquoi National Wildlife Refuge and the deck and dock are great places to watch herons, near-by nesting osprey and the occasional bald eagle.

Nearly every room provides lovely views of the lake and the Green Mountain range. The kitchen has granite countertops, a four oven AGA cooker, and there is a teak table that seats 10. There is an additional pantry kitchen with an electric oven, and a second large refrigerator.

The 60 foot long screened-in porch has wicker furniture, a hammock, and a dining table.

There are two living rooms, one with a wood burning fireplace, plenty of books and  board games. The second is even larger and has a gas fireplace, baby grand piano, and french doors leading to an open deck.

The south lawn is very flat and provides a perfect setting for tented events or a game of soccer.
An experienced catering staff is available if you would like meals provided.

Great location ... Nice home

I would recommend this home for rental.

Perfect place for us.

We stayed here over presidents and we had a great time. The house is beautiful with plenty of space for a large group. Kitchen and common areas are well equipped and the master bedroom is massive. Jennifer was very easy to deal with and always attentive to our needs. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice and quiet location with the lake at your doorstep. We’ll definitely be back!!

Perfect Place for a Family Reunion

We had a wonderful week enjoying our stay at Tabor House Inn. We traveled from NJ, our son from NC and close friends from IN to be there. It was clean, the kitchen was fabulous with picturesque views of Lake Champlain. We all enjoyed the lovely breeze and lake views from screened in back porch, breakfast was lovely out there watching the sun come up over the lake. The great room served as a very special area as we had a wonderful dinner for 14 of us celebrating our daughter\'s engagement during that week as our son-in-law to be popped the question at beautiful Moss Glens Falls, near Stowe, VT! This property was a great place for our dogs as they ran happily retrieving tennis balls and frisbees in the huge field of a side yard! The weeping willow trees were so beautiful gently blowing in the breeze. Generally such a laid back, relaxing and beautiful place......We had a 100% great time with our family all together and would stay there again. Thanks Jennifer Bright for your kind and welcoming personality. Your home made our experience just perfect and gave us memories to last a lifetime!

A fantastic, secluded home with plenty of space for our multigenerational family

This home exceeded our expectations! We spent most of our time in the kitchen-which is the heart of the house-and on the screened porch overlooking the lake. The kitchen has a wonderful AGA stove which - if you like to cook and bake - was a treat. The porch has a hammock, a nice sitting area, and a table that easily seats ten for eating, puzzles and cups of coffee. More than enough space to spread out and an intimate balcony off the master when you want some private time. The entire house was spotless and has a great vibe. We are already talking about going back!
