Description

Many rent our lake house to go to Clemson Football games by car (45 minutes) or by boat.  Recent improvements Sept 2016: Major remodel just completed!! Every surface inside the home is brand new. Granite counter tops, stainless kitchen appliances, all new window, doors, totally remodeled bathrooms (rain head shower head in walk in shower). Part of basement is newly finished.
 
FIREWORKS here are the weekend before the 4th and you can view them from your boat or off the Hartwell Dam.
 
Only 1 hour to Greenville SC which has been written up as one of the top 10 downtown revitalizations in the country! A must see with 100 restaurants downtown, world class museums and waterfalls a short drive away. A must see! Only an hour to an hour and a half to UGA or Clemson University by car. You can also go to Clemson University by boat from here. It's only 60 miles to Helen, GA where you can raft the Chatahoochee (world class white water rafting on the Chatahoochee) , ride a zip line or enjoy Octoberfest in Helen. Tallulah Gorge is only 50 miles away where you can pan for gold, hike and ride bikes. There are 3 waterfalls you can visit at Brasstown Falls.
 
WE HAVE GREAT WATER! Twelve  feet at the end of the dock and 25 feet deep in the middle of the cove. You can rent a boat at Gordon's Marina. We have a canoe and Kayak here for your use along with life jackets. We have seen and heard of people catching good size fish right at our dock. 
 
Home of the 'Astonished Fish' (see photos). The first time you sink into a chair and take in the lake view you will understand. This is truly a unique property and you will be surprised at how much you relax even in the first 24 hours. Screen porch is newly done in Caribbean colors
 
Very peaceful setting with a good water view. Sit on the swim dock and watch the sunset. If you bring a boat you can launch about 10 minutes away and tie up to our swim dock. Enjoy the deep (25' deep in the middle of cove), clear water. A natural spring keeps our wide, deep cove flowing and clean. Large screened porch is a favorite place to eat or wake up with a cup of coffee while being mesmerized by the water. Abundant wildlife in the area including beaver and red fox and turkey, Heron and Canadian Geese.
 
Wooded area directly across the water is reserved as Park land so you are looking at only nature. The masonry fireplace makes it a perfect year round get away. Living Room has cathedral ceiling and the property has been newly painted inside. The Master Bedroom has a luxurious King Size Select Comfort air mattress bed with individual controls. The Guest bedroom has a new King bed. The basement sleeping area has a Queen bed There are two sleeper sofa's  in the living room making it a home that can sleep at least 8. There are two full baths. There is Wireless Hi-speed internet access. 
 
The kitchen is fully outfitted with microwave, dishwasher and icemaker. There is a gas grill on the large side deck. There is a grill near the driveway for charcoal.  There are dining tables on the deck, in the screen porch & in the great room. The lower patio is covered and has seating and is decorated with handcrafted fish made by local a craftsman (snap a photo of the one you like and we can have one made for you).  The gently sloped walkway from the driveway to the deck means there are zero steps or stairs to navigate entering the home, making it easily accessible even with walkers or wheelchairs. Great neighborhood for walking or bike riding with virtaully no traffic. Enjoy!
 
Short drive to scenic Greeneville and Ashville.
10-15 minutes to Restaurants and Shopping.
Dine and Golf at nearby Cateechee Golf Course/ Waterfall Grill

Just as advertised. Great house that had all the perfect touches for a quick weekend getaway.


House was clean with very comfortable beds. Secluded lot was perfect for our small gathering. Easy access with gps taking me right to the house. Everything worked great. Owner did a great job redoing this cabin. Would stay here again for sure.

Tranquil, Beautiful Respite from Busy Atlanta!


We had SUCH a wonderful two night stay in your beautiful, well-appointed home. Everything was super comfortable and conducive to immediately relaxing. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, canoeing, grilling out on the upper deck, enjoying coffee on the lower \"living room\" deck and of course afternoons reading on your beautiful screened porch. Beds were super comfortable and I loved the \"rain\" shower-head off the master bathroom. We can\'t wait to return!

Fantastic!


We spent 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The owner has done a great job in refinishing the upstairs and not quite complete on the downstairs but we\'re sure it will be as nice as upstairs. There were only 2 of us so we didn\'t use downstairs. Very well equipped. Even our Border Collie found a doggie toy within the first 5 seconds of being in the house and she enjoyed her new piggy for the time spent there. Beautiful lot on Lake Hartwell. Convenient to Upstate SC waterfalls, Clemson area stuff to do. North GA sightseeing is also close by. Saw deer everyday. Best sleep we have had in a long time. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
