A beautiful location paired with a great rental. What more can you ask for?

This area of Virginia\'s Northern Neck is a hidden gem. At least it was to our group of ladies looking for a few days away. What a find Sailors Rest was! Mary and Bill have ensured that visitors will be comfortable and taken care of. This home is situated right on Towles Creek, with access to the Chesapeake Bay. We totally enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching sunrises (yes, one of us was up early) and sunsets. We ventured into the town of Kilmarnock, just 20 minutes away. If you love relaxing Sailors Rest is perfect and if you also like to boat, kayak, fish, etc. then this rental will fit the bill. Combine a wonderful rental, hidden gem location, and great hosts like Mary and Bill you will be happy indeed!

Amazing home, amazing Chesapeake Bay views

wow--we loved every second of our stay at Sailors Rest. It is very private, spacious, immaculate, and beautifully furnished including very comfy beds and linens. The huge covered back porch was a wonderful spot to enjoy the views of the chesapeake bay and surrounding marshes. We even had a private dock to tie our boat steps off the porch. Kayaks are provided and it was fun to explore the close by Marina and chat with Captain Billy about the what fish are where and when. A hidden treasure is the acres of preserve on the property to observe wildlife of all kinds. Thank you Mary and Captain Billy for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will return

Very nice house. Roomy inside, deck is wonderful. Location for us was perfect.

It was a great experience. Sheets and towels are high quality, loved having a gas grill, kitchen was equipped for cooking and eating in. 2 suggestions; a blender and citranella candles for deck.

Sailor's Rest is the place to go

My wife and I spent 3 weeks..yes THREE...in the Sailor\'s rest.... away from the Chicago winter and we loved every day of it. Location is safe to walk around, located by the water, fully accessible, and the views day and night are gorgeous. The house is impecable, spacious, well equipped kitchen, and the rooms are super comfortable. We actually had family from DC visiting for one night and they also loved it...allowing their dog was a plus. Mary and Captain Billy are great hosts and they were available for any extra needs or questions to make our stay very comfortable. In summary our experience was like home away from home.....this is now our favorite place in the Northern Neck area.

Easter Feast

We had a great Easter Weekend at Sailors Rest. Stopped at Rappahannock Oyster Co on the way in and picked up some of the best Oysters on the East coasts. It was a pleasure to sit on the back porch overlooking the water and the dock and catch up with family.
