Description

Imagine a stretch of beach so solitary, the calm is overwhelming. The occasional pelican swoops and plunges cerulean waters for her next meal. Sun and water kiss the sand into a mosaic of sparkles, treating the eyes to an unexpected indulgence, an oasis of flourish and luxury bosomed in nature.  But thankfully this Mirage is real.

Villa Mirage marries luxury and practicality with wicker and wood accents warming things up, making its many living areas feel like home.  The pool is conveniently central in terms of any one of its many cosy corners for parents to relax but still be handy to supervise younger swimmers.  The two-tiered terrace is so wide and long, it's a perfect cinema for the daily watching of seaside dramas going on.  There's a recreation room with a mini-gym and pool table, with stand-up bar for man-cave activities any time of the day or night.

Seven spacious bedrooms all come with their own private and separately stunning baths. All five bedrooms in the upper villa let out onto balconies with breath-taking views of the Caribbean Sea. There are two bedrooms in the basement, one of which is its own fully self-catering apartment with a full second kitchen and separate entrance ideal for any kind of event going on.  Close to the pool with its own built-in entertainment, the basement is also an especially cool place for the younger generation to escape to. Villa Mirage is super versatile and simply perfect for bigger groups or even smaller ones with varying space and privacy requirements.

The option of holding a wedding or other celebration is provided, with accommodation for a maximum of up to 38 persons, together with 2 neighboring villas ideal for surplus guests. There is a maximum 80 person limit to the attendance of guests on the day of the celebration.

Guest Reviews

The most amazing Beach front house in Tobago.

We have stayed here 3 times. The only house bigger than this is Harrison fords house but his is inland and not on the beach. The house is done to perfection and is right on the beach. We have seen leather back turtles at night laying their eggs and have even helped the hatching turtles get into the sea. The largest fish I have ever caught was here just 50 yards off the beach. A whopping 140lb Tarpon and apparently that was a small one. It has an enormous rock pool that is like a pool but better which the kids loved being in. We went to the best ever music festival here on our first stay called the Tobago Jazz festival which is funny because there was no jazz music. Stars like, Rod Stewart, Whitney Houston (RIP), Shakira and more. All this on a little island of just 50,000 residents. The scuba diving is fantastic. One of the Unesco world heritage sites here in Tobago we visited is Pigeon point. It was like being Robinson Crusoe a totally unspoilt paradise. There is even a rain forest here which had the most beautiful butterflies and birds. There were little humming birds in the garden that were fascinating to watch. The location of the house on the island is near the airport which is little more just like a landing strip. You have Mount Irvine and the Hilton golf courses close by. Some excellent restaurants one of which is a Watermill. One night it rained and lots of giant frogs suddenly appeared and hopped through the restaurant. We even helped the locals who are the loveliest island people pull in a giant net in the bay and then watched as they evenly distributed the catch between all of them. Ahhh if only life for us Londoners were this simple. The staff at the Villa are great and keep the place pristine. Anytime I went fishing, diving, or exploring the island, the staff always had a relative that could help. Everyone seems related on this island and we felt very safe here and welcomed by all. Finally nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the lapping waves. PARADISE!!

Group/Family Paradise

This was our first trip staying with another family and Mirage was the PERFECT setting. We were a total group of 10, ranging in age from 5-70, and everyone got exactly the vacation they were looking for! The pictures DO NOT do justice to the house - it was way bigger and more luxurious than we imagined, which made it possible for our group to be as together or as separate as we chose. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the walls are incredibly thick, enhancing the feeling of privacy. At the same time, the common spaces are extremely large and conducive for large gatherings for dinner or play. We were able to put our children in bed and have zero concern that they would be bothered by the noise of the adults staying up. The balcony views are exquisite and expansive. The house/groundskeepers are extremely attentive and the property\'s cleanliness is thoroughly maintained, inside and out. The ocean experience, literally right outside the back gate was also incredible. The children were able to build sand castles and play on the beach and in the large tide pool that settles right off the back of the property. We were able to see many fish, crabs, sea urchins and even an octopus! We took the short, but rugged beach/ocean walk down to Black Rock a couple of times and it made a beautiful backdrop for pictures and family-friendly adventure! We were also thoroughly impressed with Gillian, Mr. Small and all those we met who serviced Mirage. Throughout our week, we did have some minor issues arise, as soon as we notified them, they were very quick to resolve them, which made their customer service even more notable. They were intent on making our stay fabulous, and succeeded, we cannot thank them enough! Although you could have a complete vacation and almost never leave the property, there is a ton of beauty throughout the island and I would highly recommend taking a tour of the forts, rainforest, beaches/bays and all the wonder of the island. It is truly a unique experience, you\'ll be glad you visited and will be just as eager as we are to return! NOTE: Travel on the island can be a little tricky if you\'re not familiar. We chose to rely on local drivers. With our large party, we were even able to have the oversized van driver who met us at the airport transport us for most of our stay. You will probably save frustration and money by utilizing the local taxi/transport options.
