Waterville Valley, in central New Hampshire, is a two hour drive from Boston. It is four season resort town, located in a valley surrounded by mountains.

The views are spectacular from the Valley floor, as well as from the network of hiking trails above. The ski area, which has hosted World Cup Ski Races, National Free Style Events, and Intercollegiate Cross Country competitions, is an ideal family ski area, with lessons in skiing and snowboarding, for adults and for little children. The indoor ice arena is open all year. The tennis center, with 16 clay courts, and two indoor courts, is rated among the 25 best tennis resorts in the world.

The White Mountain Athletic Club has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a weight room, paddle ball and squash courts, steam, sauna, massage, etc. The 9-hole golf course is picturesque and challenging. The Owl\'s Nest Course, 10 miles away, is a championship 18 hole layout. Trout fishing is excellent in the local lake and in the Mad River. The Valley supports a system mountain biking trails and runs a ski lift during the summer to carry bikes to the high trails.

The vacation home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms (with several additional sleeping nooks).It has two living rooms, each with woodstoves, and one TV room. It is ideal for two famlies, with two fully equipped kitchens (dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers, microwave ovens, etc.).

It has a heated wax room for ski tuning getaways. It has cable, with two TV\'s, and high speed internet. The site is beautiful and private, located right on the west branch of the Mad River, where there\'s a four foot deep swimming hole and a gentle sandy area for little kids. Renters have access to the vegetable garden, an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the river, a wood-burning sauna with its own dunking pool, as well as to three mountain bikes, a badminton court, and a netted tennis practice area, fed by a ball pitching machine.

Music, art, and theater events take place all year, as do fireworks displays and various entertainments ranging from stand-up comedy to juggling and magic. The Silver Streaks Social Club, for sportsminded people over 55, meets daily for skiing and at intervals for biking, hiking, golf, and tennis. The house is not equipped with renter-durable, time-share furnishings. Rather, it is a private holiday home furnished with original art works, antiques, and family silverware and china.
