Hummingbird Beach Hideaway sits on a 10-acre estate located on the south shore of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The estate property features over 500 feet of beach frontage on a mile of undeveloped, uninhabited, & usually deserted sandy beach. The main Villa of the five-building compound has been newly refurbished into an intimate Beachfront Boutique Hotel, the second floor of which features six beautifully finished & individually decorated residences, four 1bdrm Suites & two Studios.
 
The space
This listing is for the Ambrosia Suite, one of six different newly refurbished and redecorated apartment residences on the second floor of the Villa Building at Hummingbird Beach Hideaway (HBH).
The Ambrosia Suite is a custom designed & finished one-bedroom executive suite located on the Oceanside of the Villa in the southwest corner, offering expansive views of the beach & ocean as well as delightful sunsets. As can be seen from the pictures included with this listing the Ambrosia Suite is well-constructed with vaulted beamed ceilings and tile floors and has powerful air-conditioning.
 
The floorplan features a spacious master bedroom and bath with double sinks, walk-in shower, bathtub & bidet, as well as an additional half-bath off the hall and a washer/dryer and utility sink hidden next to the kitchen. The living area and adjacent private balcony offer a memorable view and the soothing sound of waves washing onto the beach and are furnished with comfortable seating including a large (queen-size) sofa bed. The kitchen has everything necessary for easy meal preparation or serving to generate Caribbean Vacation memories, including an island counter with bar-stool seating and a full complement of appliances.
 
Guest access
All the guests at Hummingbird Beach Hideaway share the use of the huge gracious Veranda that runs all along the Oceanside of the ground floor of the Villa. This inviting and relaxing 1,600+ sq foot gathering space offers both cool shade and a continuous trade winds breeze while affording an expansive view of the entire beach and the steady soothing sound of the surf on the sand.
 
Other things to note
Hummingbird Beach Hideaway is happy to accommodate Special Events including weddings, family reunions, management retreats, training programs, yoga retreats, etc. Generally, these events are booked months in advance & will take all of our available residences during their event. And it is worth noting that we can arrange for a large tent on our east lawn area and still have room to park up to 100 cars on the grounds. Please inquire to the resident Property Manager for more information regarding Special Events at HBH.
