Hummingbird Beach Hideaway sits on a 10-acre estate located on the south shore of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The estate property features over 500 feet of beach frontage on a mile of undeveloped, uninhabited, & usually deserted sandy beach. The main Villa of the five-building compound has been newly refurbished into an intimate Beachfront Boutique Hotel, the second floor of which features six beautifully finished & individually decorated residences, four 1bdrm Suites & two Studios.
 
The space
This listing is for the Dahlia Suite, one of six different newly refurbished and redecorated apartment residences on the second floor of the Villa Building at Hummingbird Beach Hideaway (HBH). The Dahlia Suite is a custom designed & finished one-bedroom executive suite located on the Island side of the Villa in the northeast corner, offering beautiful ocean & sunrise views from its private balcony. As can be seen from the pictures included with this listing the Dahlia Suite is well-constructed with vaulted beamed ceilings and tile floors and has powerful A/C in the bedroom.
 
The floorplan features an expansive great room design that integrates the living, eating & kitchen areas to facilitate conversation and entertaining. The furniture is casual & comfortable and includes a large (queen size) sofa-bed for extra sleeping accommodation. The full-height glass doors to the private balcony bring the ocean view and picturesque sunrise right into the great room. The full kitchen has everything necessary for easy meal preparation or serving to generate Caribbean Vacation memories, including an eat-in counter with bar-stool seating and a full complement of appliances, including an ice maker & dispenser. The spacious master bedroom provides easy access to the generous bathroom which includes double sinks and a walk-in shower, as well as a handy washer/dryer tucked in the corner.
 
Guest access
All the guests at Hummingbird Beach Hideaway share the use of the huge, gracious Veranda that runs all along the Oceanside of the ground floor of the Villa. This inviting and relaxing 1,600+ sq foot gathering space offers both cool shade and a continuous trade winds breeze while affording an expansive view of the entire beach and the steady soothing sound of the surf on the sand.
 
Other things to note
Hummingbird Beach Hideaway is happy to accommodate Special Events including weddings, family reunions, management retreats, training programs, yoga retreats, etc. Generally, these events are booked months in advance & will take all of our available residences during their event. And it is worth noting that we can arrange for a large tent on our east lawn area and still have room to park up to 100 cars on the grounds. Please inquire to the resident Property Manager for more information regarding Special Events at HBH.
