Description

If you are looking for excellent quality self catering accommodation in Snowdonia or the Conwy Valley, then look no further. Bryn Derwen in the Conwy Valley is literally just over the road from the Snowdonia National Park.  It is a charming Welsh stone cottage overlooking fields front and back, located in the village of  Tal y Bont.. If you enjoy walking, then this is the ideal base from which to explore Snowdonia and the Conwy Valley. Then in the evening, enjoy the hospitality of the local pub or hotel restaurant, just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Alternatively, light the wood burning stove in the cosy lounge and put your feet up to watch your favourite DVD. This website contains full details and pictures of the cottage,  along with a description of the accommodation & the tariff for 2008. Please note that this is a no smoking cottage and that pets are not permitted.

The lounge has the original oak beams, a traditional Welsh dresser and a wood burning stove. The original oak beams continue through the ground floor in to the dining / kitchen. A dining table and chairs accommodate up to six & guests are easily served from the kitchen area. The modern fully fitted kitchen contains a larder fridge, a double electric cooker and a microwave oven. Additionally there is a good sized fridge/freezer in the utility room to the rear. There are two double bedrooms on the first floor and a third bedroom containing full size bunk beds. The bathroom has a white suite which includes a bath with an electric shower over. Guests are welcome to make use of the wood burning stove in the lounge to create a warm and cosy atmosphere.  Should they be required, the cottage has electric storage heaters in the living areas and bedrooms, which run off an afternoon and overnight tariff.
