Description

With wonderful views to Hutton Roof Crags, Croft Cottage, a detached stone-built cottage sleeping four, is tastefully furnished and newly decorated to a high standard. There are two bedrooms (one double, one twin), cosy sitting room (with Sky T.V), a well-equipped kitchen-diner, modern bathroom – and parking for one car in front of the cottage. All linen is supplied and heating is included in the rent.
Close to the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale nestling in the Lune Valley, Hutton Roof, itself in good walking country and near to the RSPB sanctuary at Leighton Moss, offers a superb base for exploring the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and the unspoilt Forest of Bowland. The area of Hutton Roof Crags has been designated a Site of Special Scientific  Interest by English Nature and forms part of the Limestone Pavement which surrounds Morecambe Bay. The famous Alfred Wainwright in his book `Westmorland Heritage' wrote a chapter on Hutton Roof and described the views from the Crag as 'superb'. Croft Cottage looks out onto the wonderful Limestone area that Wainwright described.
