Description

Hill Grove Farm is situated on the Cotswold Borders. A 300 acre, mainly arable working farm with cattle, free range poultry, two dogs and two friendly donkeys fostered from the Donkey Sanctuary in Devon. The farm encompasses the banks of the meandering River Windrush which provides all rooms with a beautiful view. You may relax in the garden or in the sunroom where you can listen to music on CD. There are walks through the valley and meadows to the historic ruins of Minster Lovell Hall and the C14th century church and picturesque village. The area offers a wide selection of good country inns and restaurants. Your hostess Katharine will be happy to advise you about local attractions and help you book ahead for your next accommodation. A cooked English breakfast of your choice is served with a generous selection of cereals and home made preserves. You will be entertained by the birds who have their breakfast just on the other side of the window. Children of all ages are welcomed and a cot and high chair are provided. The farm is ideally positioned within easy driving distance of Oxford and is close to Burford (the Gateway to the Cotswolds) and its many famous villages, Bourton-On-The-Water, Stow-On-The-Wold, the Slaughters, the Swells and Chipping Campden. Other local features include Blenheim Palace, Cogges Farm Museum and the Cotswold Wild Life Park. In addition within a 90-minute drive are Stratford-On-Avon, Warwick Castle, Cheltenham, Bath, Avebury, Salisbury and Stonehenge. We offer a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation in a rural setting and look forward to welcoming you to our farm.
