Description

Imagine spending your days savouring all the delights of this beautiful island .. walking, climbing, pony trekking, boat trips, sightseeing .. and then returning each evening to Taigh a’Pheantair to enjoy a leisurely supper and an evening relaxing in front of the tv or with a book or just chatting over the day’s events. Or perhaps, on those not so sunny days, spending the day chilling out and just enjoying being on holiday, before venturing out in the evening to one of the many extremely good restaurants that Skye, and the Dunvegan area in particular, has to offer or even to the small cinema/theatre in Portree. Available for holiday letting all year round, Taigh a’Pheantair is a brand new house, built to a high specification to a most unusual design to take full advantage of natural light, and furnished to a very high standard. We regret that the house is not suitable for young children or pets and smoking is not allowed throughout the house. Although the house, which is situated on a single track road near the centre of Dunvegan village, looks out over the village
itself at the front and fields at the back (both nice country views), you only have to walk a matter of yards from the front door to feast your eyes on the beautiful local scenery, namely Dunvegan Loch and the two flat- topped hills known as MacLeod’s Tables.

Downstairs: Bedroom 1 Double (king sized bed) with ensuite facilities (bath, overbath shower, wash hand basin and wc) Bedroom 2 Double (king sized bed) with ensuite facilities (bath, overbath shower and wash hand basin only) Bedroom 3 Bunk beds, each the width of a normal sized single bed. All cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware are provided, as are teatowels. A small vacuum cleaner and iron and ironing board are also provided, along with a small quantity of cleaning materials. A radio/CD player is available to keep you company while you cook. WC (wc and wash hand basin) Vestibule With space to hang your outdoor clothing and leave any muddy boots and shoes.

Upstairs: Delightful large light and airy L shaped living area with a large comfortable seating unit in one half with TV/DVD player and Sky TV and bookcase with a small selection of books, guides and boardgames should the temptation to stay indoors and relax prove too strong. A second sofa, chair and coffee table in the other half for you to sit and chat or just watch the world go by. Flooring throughout the house is character oak. Downstairs heating is underfloor, controlled by individual thermostats in each room and, upstairs, by radiators. For those intending to arrive late in the evening, a welcome pack of essentials can be made available if requested in advance.
