Description

This is the oldest of the three cottages, having been built at the same time as the house. It is a cosy, yet spacious holiday home for a couple. The Lodge has a double en-suite bedroom with four poster bed and dressing room. It has a large open plan well fitted kitchen/ dining room with archway leading to the living room. The central focus of the lounge is the original brick fireplace, found at the time of recent renovations, it houses the wood burning stove. The lounge overlooks the garden and a small waterfall, which tumbles in to the top pond. Outside there is a private patio, a suntrap with a lovely view looking down onto the garden. There is private, gated parking for one car.

Darrynane is the home of Angela and David Clark and family. It is situated in the sheltered Coombe Valley near St Breward on Bodmin Moor. Its idyllic setting boasts an ancient oak wood where mankind has lived for over two thousand years, a moorland river glade with a tumbling 25ft waterfall and two small trout ponds. There is abundant wildlife including squirrels, wild deer and numerous species of birdlife such as jays, woodpeckers, fire crests, bull finches and tree creepers.
