Description

Cool Summer Lodging: Coming to Salt Lake City for any reason? Stay in the beautiful alpine setting of Big Cottonwood Canyon, only 30 minutes from downtown. Silver Fork Lodge is the perfect alternative to crowded area hotels — it's your best lodging option any time of the year. Silver Fork's rich history dates back to the 1850s when the area was a tent city for miners. The southwest corner of the lodge was once a general store for the area. Trees in the area were used for shingles on the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Silver Fork Lodge Bed & Breakfast is situated 1 mile from Solitude Ski Resort and 3 miles from Brighton Ski Resort. Just out the door, you have access to back country skiing and snowshoeing. Transportation is available to and from the Salt Lake International Airport and to the resorts. Dan Knopp, owner, is available to make whatever special arrangements you and your party may need to round out a satisfying vacation.

Silver Fork's bed and breakfast eight rustic rooms offer old-fashioned comfort and hospitality. Located on the second floor, many rooms offer stunning views. The lower level offers a very nice sauna, 12 person outdoor hottub, and weight machine. A ping pong and foosball table offers some in house activity for the more rambunctious guests. No phones or TVs in the room lend to peace and quiet. The TV lounge encourages guests to mingle and enjoy tales of the slopes or common interests. Silver Fork's bed & breakfast also offers five queen rooms with full-size baths and large tubs. Family suite offers queen room, bath and adjoining bunk room. Also available is a room with two twin beds and full bath.
