Description

Situated only 12 km. North of San Jose, 6 km. East of Heredia, the provincial capital, and a mere 20 minutes’ drive from San Jose International airport (SJO), it is surrounded by coffee plantations, and its main inhabitants stem from the original planters’ families. Houses have well maintained exteriors, splendidly kept interiors and luxurious gardens, particularly behind many original adobe dwellings, such as ours.

Our studios and an apartment, each for 2 people (non-smokers), are of recent construction, comfortable, safe and fully furnished and equipped for longer stays, including cable TV, ADSL internet and own telephone. Our guests need to bring their own clothes and photo camera!

We, Anne and Adrian, live in the adjacent more than 100-year old “adobe” house. Many guests enjoyed our hospitality and the feel of being at home. We are fluent in Spanish, Dutch, English, French, German and Italian.

We are ideally located for easy day trips to rainforests, volcanoes, coffee plantations, butterfly and orchids gardens. At only 3 minutes walking distance, the unique InBioParque proposes interactive exhibitions and interpreted trails, where one can learn about the country’s experience on conservation and sustainable uses of bio-diversity. Activities such as zip-line canopy tours, bird watching, horseback riding, golfing, hiking, nature walks, white water rafting, etc. can be had within one hour’s drive from here.

Either Pacific or Atlantic (Caribbean) oceans are reachable within a few hours’ drive, although explorations in those areas will require overnight stays.
