Description

For your next mountain getaway, step back into a different time with a stay in The Ole House. Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Ole House is the focal point of the farm where Frank and Della Brooks raised three sons and seven daughters. The Brooks' children are all grown and have children and grandchildren of their own, but The Ole House has been lovingly restored and equipped with modern amenities to make your stay one you will long remember.

The large front porch is just made for relaxing and the two smaller private porches are ideal spots to take morning coffee with the sunrise or enjoy the cool mountain evenings. The rock spring house stands as a testament to a time passed. Down the hill, the sounds of the babbling spring calls out to you. The old outdoor privy has been left only as a reminder of days gone by. The Ole House has been restored with the modern conveniences that insure a relaxing visit.

The four bedrooms and the two full baths give a family the room to spread out and enjoy their vacation in comfort. The gas logs in the native stone fireplace set off the spacious living room. There's a dining room, plus a modern kitchen with a breakfast eating area. The alcove at the top of the stairs is a perfect retreat for reading, watching television or just relaxing. It is surrounded by the warm tones of the natural wood used throughout the home.
