Welcome to Shavehead Lake. Here is where you'll find your home away from home in our family-owned, two-bedroom cottage in southern Michigan.
The Diener Cottage is newly-renovated and with the 17 windows that surround the cottage you're guaranteed an abundance of waterfront views and ample sunlight.
The open floor plan of the cottage allows the conversation to easily flow from the fully-equipped kitchen to the living and dining areas. French doors open wide into the spacious three-season sunroom situated along the lakeside with table tennis, upright piano and a big comfy chair where you can finally catch up on that good book you've been meaning to read.
Outdoors, you can dig your feet into the sand, sit on the lakeside deck, or watch the swans swim by from our shady screened-in gazebo. You'll get to soak in summer's warmth while your children splash around in the lake. You might even enjoy some water skiing or tubing. Come meal time, enjoy a nice picnic on the patio or at sunset, sit back and watch the flicker of fireflies as you roast a marshmallow or two over the fire pit located just a few feet from the water's edge.
Shavehead Lake is the perfect location for your getaway as it's nestled in the woods that surround a spring-fed, 250 acre, all-watercraft lake. And for those who require more than just peace and quiet, the lake is only a short drive to a myriad of attractions sure to satisfy every member of the family.
