Description

The Pine Cottage acquired its name from its pine planking walls.  It was built in the 1930\'s as a small summer cottage adjacent to the owner\'s home on Lake Huron. It has six rooms, two bedrooms, a living room, dining room, bathroom, small kitchen and small sunroom. It has assess to a private tennis court, shuffleboard court and to the deck overlooking the beach. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful perennial gardens on all sides. It is heated by a hot-air furnace and is cooled by prevailing westerly winds. It also has several window air-conditioners.  Across Lakeshore Road, the owners have 30 wooded acres with rough paths available for nature walks. Five miles north is Lexington with a marina, restaurants including an English Pub, gourmet restaurant and deli.  There is a live theatre with excellent weekend bookings.  Friday night is \"music in the park\" during July and August.  Lexington offers festivals, art fairs and an excellent Bach Festival in early September lasting 5 days with musicians from all over the U.S.

The Pine Cottage has beautiful views of Lake Huron. Sit outside and drink your morning coffee as you watch the sunrise from your private umbrella table and perennial gardens.

There are two raised wooden decks approximately 15 x 15 and 12 x 12 overlooking Lake Huron.  They each have a table, 4 chairs and several chaise lounges which is available for private use by the owners and the owner\'s tenants (renters of the cottage).
