Ffynnonau Holiday House in Mid Wales is a family home sleeping eight very comfortably. We are close to the Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley and surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in the British Isles. A perfect place for a relaxing break at any time of year, Ffynnonau Guest (fur-non-knee) house has excellent walking, mountain biking, horse riding and paragliding just outside your door and many other activities within easy reach of the house. Children have lots to do here with child safe gardens to play in and woods and fields to explore. Grown ups can do as much or as little as they want, settle down on the lawn with a book or take a stroll around the forest, its up to you. Sleeping is always easy and restful as peace and quiet is guaranteed in this remote family holiday home. Dogs and Wellington boots are most welcome and we have created a room with muddy ones in mind. When the weather is cooler there is a log fire, fluffy towels and oodles of hot water for baths. A break in our holiday home will be a real home from home with modern appliances, beautiful furnishings and most importantly very comfortable beds.

Light, cool and airy in the warm months, cosy, warm and comforting in the cooler months Ffynnonau is a destination for all times of the year.  A wooden colt house, we have recently refurbished the whole house make a home to feel happy in. Arriving at Ffynnonau is wonderful, winding through the hills and through market towns eventually reaching the house.  Up a half a mile of private drive you will reach your holiday. Parking is next to the house so it's easy to transport cases and supplies. In through the front door and into our "boot room" a big space to drop bags, coats, wellies, dogs and the occasional Christmas tree… Adjacent to this is a well equipped utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and Belfast sink to wash muddy boots/kids in. On through the hall way (with a little loo in too) and on to the main living area. A good sized space to do whatever takes your fancy in, lots of seating on restful sofas and a log fire for chilly evenings. We have a lovely big oak table that can sit eight comfortably but more if your careful with your elbows.  The kitchen is a great place to cook in, all modern appliances with ample equipment to create gastronomic masterpieces, or beans on toast. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, A wonderful double room (cot space here), Twin room (beds can make a great big double), another twin and a bunk room, but the beds have been made by a lovely chap down the road so we have adult sized bunks! All rooms have great views and all have very warm and cosy beds in them. There is one family bathroom and also a shower room with a nice big cubicle and super shower in it. To keep every thing as comfortable as can be we have supplied lots of big fluffy towels and rails to warm them on….bliss.
