You are most welcome to stay in our cottage, ‘Higher Meadow,’ at our small farm set in 20 acres of beautiful Devonshire countryside. Our home looks down through the valley of rolling hills to the sea in the distance, a wonderful tranquil setting. The cottage has two ground floor bedrooms and a chair-lift, so it is suitable for the partially disabled. There is a private courtyard area by the cottage and you are most welcome to make yourself at home in the gardens, where there are games for the children, a table-tennis table and basketball nets. We look forward to welcoming you with a Devon cream tea on arrival. Dogs welcome – on a lead in the grounds. Smoking in the garden, not in the cottage. Sleeps 4, plus a cot. Ground floor bedrooms. Ground floor bathroom and shower. Stair lift to the kitchen and lounge.
Come and see Doris, our friendly Gloucestershire Old Spot sow and Bertie, her mate. We also have two Saddleback sows and a flock of Jacob and Shetland sheep. Mo and Jerry, our two donkeys are always around and very inquisitive and so are our variety of ducks, chickens and peafowl. There is a range of optional craft activities available during the week. Choose from spinning, using the wool from our sheep, weaving on hand looms or a large traditional floor loom, silk painting, card making and various forms of embroidery, such as hardanger, cross-stitch and patchwork. T-shirt painting and silk painting are both suitable activities for children and adults alike. Have fun and make something to take home with you.
