Description

Are you looking for peace and relaxation? Then come and stay with us at Higher Trezion, unwind in a unique setting off the beaten track on the edge of Bodmin Moor. We have two ground floor bedrooms: The Garden Room is a large en-suite, king size / twin room with a door to the garden. Charlotte's room is an en-suite double room. And upstairs we have Bramble's room, an en-suite king size / double room. All our rooms have complimentary trays, televisions, clock radios etc. The bathrooms have full size baths with showers over them. We are sorry that we do not accept children. Well behaved dogs with their own beds are allowed in your room and stabling for your horses is just 300yds away. We have a small farm with sheep in the fields, also our free- range Buff Orpington, Light Sussex and Ixworth chickens with others roaming around. We are off the beaten track, on a quiet lane, situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, just 1.5miles from the A39 Atlantic Highway, with beautiful views down the Camel Valley.

Start your day with an old fashioned ‘farmhouse’ breakfast, juices and cereals, sausage, bacon and hogs pudding etc, all cooked on the Aga, lots of home-made bread, fresh eggs, fruit and yogurt, tea and coffee all at the large table in the breakfast room. We are just a short distance from the stunningly beautiful, rugged North Cornwall Coast.  Our home is an ideal base for exploring some of the best beaches in North Cornwall for just walking or surfing, play golf at one of the many local courses, go horse-riding up on Bodmin Moor, (we can arrange stabling for your horses) Walk the local coastal paths, not forgetting the Eden Project, Pencarrow House and all the National Trust Houses and gardens. There are many historic and lovely Churches, including our own fourteenth century Advent Church, this list of things to do is endless. In the entrance hall there are books to read, books on walks and maps to borrow for the day, also leaflets regarding the surrounding area. Our pets who live with us are Jess our border-collie/spaniel dog, who, if she was brave enough would round up the chickens, and the cats: Murphy who is all over grey and pops in and out for food.  Bunney, who is ginger with some white on him, he sleeps most of the day, may do a little hunting, nothing too energetic, eats a lot and weights a lot. Then there is Daisy, who is sort of tabby and marmalade, who only eats and sleeps and purrs. The family, including the animals offer you, our guests a warm welcome, and hope you will enjoy your stay with us, in the peaceful and relaxing environment that is Higher Trezion.
