Description

Cozy, modern clean studio with a full kitchen (granite counter tops) and plenty of room for your clothes. The closet is quite large. King size bed, and a loveseat in the main room. Large shower, hardwood flooring, flat screen TV with cable and internet.

The location just does not get much better than this. Walking distance to everything great about Downtown Anchorage. You just will not need a car. (If you have a car, you can arrange parking though "Easy Park" in the "Chinook" lot, which is right next door to the building) You can walk down to the train station, or right next door to the Saturday Market. The Iditarod race starts on 4th avenue, just one block up. Fur Rondy Carnival is next door. Get your morning espresso just steps out the main lobby door. There is also a sushi restaurant just steps out of the main lobby.

The unit is small (387 square feet) but if you like the freedom to cook some of your own meals, the kitchen has everything you need. It is perfect for two people.

This charming old (security) building is home to unit owners who have lived in the building for many years. They take pride in ownership, and respect 'quiet time' in the building. Exterior doors lock at 7:00PM, (so you will need to keep your security key with you) and parties do not really work in this building, so that means everybody gets a peaceful night's sleep, and everybody wakes up happy in the morning (grin) .

Breakfast is served on weekends at F Street Station, they have the most wonderful Eggs Benedict, and you can walk there in two minutes, if you do not feel like cooking your own breakfast.

Should you like to see the outside of the building, please just look on Google Maps and hit the "street view" option, so you can take in the whole, wonderful street. The address is 525 W 3rd Ave, and the building is green. Sadly, there is not much of a view, from our unit, we are next door to a building that blocks it, for the most part, but you can see part of the Ship Creek area, and you can walk to the action in minutes.

Convenient studio with good central location and comfy bed.

Stayed here for 8 days on a business trip. The room is nice, clean and comfortable and the neighbors are quiet. The location downtown is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The noise from the harbor and nearby train tracks took several days to get used to. The lack of parking on the weekend is my only complaint.

While you may be surprised at the outside of the building, the studio itself was very nice!

The studio was EXACTLY as pictured. Clean and nice! It was right in the downtown area and perfect for walking to entertainment and dining. Overall, great experience! Plus the host of the studio was kind enough to share of things to do and places to go that were really good!

Great apartment, Great location

Just spent 5 nights in this wonderful apartment. It is clean, spacious, well equipped, and conveniently located. The room itself is quiet. The bed was comfortable, the shades kept the room dark, and everything worked we\'ll. Hot Water seemed To Take awhile To come Up In The morning, but be patient. It Well come In plenty hot. It is basically a quiet apartment. We were never aware of neighbors. The blasts from train whistles, and roar of jets were a frequent reminder of the busy port and hub of Anchorage in this amazing state. But they never kept us awake or woke us from our sleep. Part of the music of Alaska. Parking was very easy and convenient, but as others noted, you need to switch to the other lot for Saturday and Sunday. Easy enough. The location is great. Easy walk to dining, shops, entertainment, museums, galleries. Great place to be for First Friday activities and art walk. Coastal Path is a couple of blocks away, and you can rent bikes at the shop on 4 th and A. It is also an easy place from which to get out of town, whether by car, train, or plane. We would definitely stay again if we return to Anchorage, which we hope to do.

It was great except couldn't connect to internet.

Great just like at home the guys at the your group next to you were great also thanks for great time. Everything was close to walk to in town.

Great property for 2 people.

This is an ideal location in the heart of Anchorage. It\'s within walking distance of some very good bars and restaurants. The parking pass for the nearby parking lot that Carrie provided is a plus. The only downside is parking is a bit of a hassle on weekends, but not insurmountable.

Exactly What We Expected

Location, location, location. This property is in a perfect spot downtown (right across from the Hilton). No need to rent a car unless you want to get out of town. You can walk everywhere downtown or Mid-Town was just a short cab ride. Being my first time using VRBO I was a little nervous, but this apartment was a perfect choice. Carrie was great to work with and super responsive. I would definitely stay here again.
