Description

This small cabin sits on the banks of the Pasagshak River about 40 miles from the town of Kodiak, accessable by car or float plane. It has electricity, gas stove, coffee maker, 10 cu' frig, microwave, 10 cu' freezer, and a Toyo stove for heat. Out door plumbing consists of an outhouse and rainwater charged cistern with a sink for hand and dishwashing. The cabin is clean and warm. There are two bedrooms, one with queen bed and one very small bedroom with bunkbeds. Linens are provided.

The river fishing at the cabin can be spectacular. It sits in front of the best fishing on the river. The fish show up when they feel like it, though. Dolly Varden and all species of Salmon except Kings run up the river past the cabin.

The ocean is a short walk away and whales are seen frequently in the bay, sometimes very close to shore.

The bird watching can be awesome. Bald eagles are abundant and many species of migratory birds stop or nest here.

Pasagshak River Cabin

This is one sweet deal! Great owner and complete setup for Fishing and sightseeing. Right on the Pasagshak river. Quiet setting and excellent views.

Heaven!

We just got back from a trip to Alaska and this cabin in Kodiak was our absolute favorite place we have ever stayed. The cabin is in the most gorgeous location and Smokey is the sweetest host. I wish we could win the lottery and buy this place from him. Perfect for a small family with kids. We miss you Smokey and we miss you Kodiak!

A Perfect Getaway!

A great little setup for a getaway with a million dollar view. We are local and just wanted a night away for our anniversary. Smokey and his dog Shadow were great hosts and easy to communicate with. This was affordable, rustic yet majestic, and located in the most beautiful place on earth!
