Heavenly Home

My wife and I with our 2 sons and a friend spent 6 wonderful days at this gorgeous home In January 2016. Casa Celestial is very special. Its main attraction is its location, perched on a hill maybe 500 feet above the Pacific ocean. The views are very expansive to the north and to the west. The house is spacious with large windows and is well-furnished, equipped nicely, clean and very well maintained. The landscaping, the pool and patio with grill are highlights. Marieth was very welcoming and helpful getting us oriented. She helped set us up with a couple excursions. When the dishwasher didn’t work she came up the next day with her brother-in-law and got it fixed. Highlights include: • Waking up to amazing ocean views • Breakfast on the patio and seeing scarlet macaws flying below • Grilling fish from the local seafood co-op • Sunsets while in the pool sipping a cocktail I could definitely imagine coming back to this place but next time for a month!

Total Amazement

Everything was absolutely perfect. We planned a getaway with some friends for a birthday. The owner went above and beyond with all our questions and went out of his way to accommodate every request. Once we were there, Maria the house manager took care of us as if we were her family. She arranged any excursions we needed and assisted with recommendations for shopping, restaurants, transportation. The house was beyond perfect, the views were amazing. The pictures do not do the justice compared to seeing it in person. We did not have any issues and are definitely planning on returning sometime in the future. The only problem was having to leave and say see you again!!!!

Perfect Paradise

Casa Celestial is a magical place and it was by far even more beautiful than the photos. We took our 3 adult daughters and they each brought a friend. The four bedroom/bath was perfect for our crew as everyone had their own. Maria was the perfect house manager and a God send. She took me to the local grocery store and helped me shop the first day as I unfortunately do not speak Spanish. She checked on us everyday to make sure everything was all right and helped with arranging excursions. There was so much to do in the area that we hardly ventured away. The kitchen was well equipped and local food was so amazing that we eat in every day shopping at the fish co-op and fruit stands. The people of Costa Rica, the beauty of the country and the opportunity to do so many things will be the reason for a return visit and I wouldn\'t think of staying anywhere else then Casa Celestial.

Highly recommended

My husband and I just got back from 2 weeks at this incredible place. The adventure starts with the drive up to the house. It is very steep! At the top is your own little mountain top with complete privacy and stunning views. There were a few small issues with the house but the back pool deck made up for it in spades. It is truly a 15 out of 10. This is where we spent most of our time cause we were there to relax and have some couple time. It was absolutely perfect for that. We were in and out of the pool all day and dried off in the constant light breezes. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well equipped. Everything is close by. Jaco is about 15km south. It is a happening little beach town with a fabulous gelato store! Nearer to the house is an excellent supermarket where you can get anything in the way of food and booze. We bought red snapper from the side of the road and grilled it on the BBQ - fabulous! We were picked up at the airport by the car rental company and left at the front gates with our car which was very convenient (Zuma Rentals out of Jaco). All in all, a wonderful holiday. Thank you Chris and Lisa.

Beautiful view of canopy

5 of us stayed three nights in this beautiful spot! It matched the description perfectly. Maria ( we called her our personal assistant) helped us with shopping, little property questions and fixes, and arrangements for a massage. We are familiar with Tarcoles and made our own birding guide arrangements, but there are many guides working in the park ready to take visitors on a beautiful unique tour of nature! The kitchen worked well for the 5 of us and could accommodate more people. The little pool was our favorite gathering place, and we used it quite a bit. Access - The drive up to the property is very steep and we used a 4x4 to get up. I walked down the driveway to the road once and it really is only about a 15 minute walk downhill. Overall - lots of fun and very comfortable.

Exceptional property... our favorite place on earth!

My husband and three children (8, 7 and 3) recently spent 10 nights at Casa Celestial... and can\'t wait to return. The house is ideally situated at the top of a jungled hilltop with spectacular views of the coast and the friendly little fishing village of Tarcoles. The pool was easily our favourite place to spend time and our kids - if we didn\'t drag them away for other excursions in the area - would\'ve been in it from sun up to sun down. Each space in the house has its own beautiful views, either of the lush greenery or the water. Marieth, the house manager, is an enthusiastic and kind woman who goes out of her way to accommodate your every need. Access to restaurants, beaches and excursions of every kind is only 15 minutes away in Jaco (although I did appreciate and heed the warnings about taking my little people into the ocean; the beaches, especially south of Jaco, are beautiful but can be dangerous at times. We did play in the waves but kept kids in arm\'s reach if they were in deeper than the calves). I am not sure what else we could\'ve asked for on this vacation... it was pure paradise.

Bucket List

My wife and myself along with 6 friends and family recently spent 7 nights at this beautiful property. Everything we were told was true, the view was breath taking from every room in the house. The sunsets and the moon over the pacific was stunning. The house itself is lovely. It had everything we needed and very comfortable. The pool was refreshing. There was always a nice gentle breeze. The wildlife was always present, from the resident Iguanas to the Macaws and the huge blue butterflies. When we arrived at the front gate we were greeted by Maria. Who showed us all the features of the house. She was very helpful with educating us as to where to shop for groceries. She actually went with us to the village and helped us grocery shopping and with the currency exchange. She was only a phone call away if we needed anything. She also helped with the excursions. We found the locals to be very friendly and helpful. We took several day trips to the beaches which we found to be some of the best beaches we have ever enjoyed. The Pacific ocean is clean, clear and warm. I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing views

We were not ready to leave. Maria was wonderful and was available to answer any questions. Enjoyed the Los Suenos horseback tour to the water falls for a swim. If you have a day, travel south to Dominical and have lunch at Tortilla Flats. South of Dominical we discovered Ventanas Beach and explored the caves. We love traditional Costa Rican food so we took advantage of the local places. For a change of pace and to catch a ballgame we went to The Hook Up at the Los Suenos Marina.

Great place to relax and watch a beautiful sunset.

What a great stay. Maria and her family was the best. House is beautiful and so prefectures situated in the mountains overlooking the pacific. The driveway is a bit scary at night but who doesn’t love a little adventure. It’s just a hop skip and a jump from fresh fruit markets to the north and Jaco to the south. If you can’t enjoy yourself here there’s something wrong with you. Chris and his staff are top notch.

Amazing vacation property and destination!

Hello Chris, We all had an amazing time in Costa Rica , and really appreciated the use of your \"other home\". You were right, no matter what beautiful pictures we took of the house and the view, none of the pictures do them justice (although we were lucky enough to get some amazing sunsets that were identical to the picture you have posted). Everyone there was very helpful and accommodating, you have made yourself some amazing friends there. Pedro was very friendly and helpful (guiding us to and from San Jose) and Maria the same. If you could thank them again when you see them, from us, it would be appreciated. Edguardo was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way to make our trip the best we’ve ever been on. He helped us go on all the excursions we wanted and hooked us up with some amazing people. We had Valentines dinner at Lanterna and requested him as our waiter. The food was excellent and the extra attention was very much appreciated. We spent the last full day with him and his son at Tortuga Island and had a great time! So again, if you could pass along the many thanks to him also for helping make our vacation a wonderful success.
