We Won the Eclipse Vacay Gamble... so perfect

What a LOVELY experience! The site is amazing, with a very large creek, lots of trees, gathering places with fire pits (two of them!) and privacy. The home (and it felt very much like a home, rather than an impersonal \'rental\') is pretty and comfortable, and, as everyone has pointed out, well-stocked. The owners, who live further up the mountain, are precious: helpful and friendly. We came for the solar eclipse, so didn\'t really leave the property except for the one day, but we did some scouting for a good eclipse site (even though the property has a nice hole in the tree cover over the driveway, which we used for star viewing and WOW this region has one of the top scores for \'Dark Sky\' and I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen that much of the Milky Way, just: WOW!) and nearby Chatuge Dam would be a great spot to trek to for next time, what a gorgeous view. We\'ll definitely be back. :D

After our first visit we were hooked, and the 2nd left us waiting for a 3rd.

I house is equipped with all of the comforts of home, along with the 2 1/2 baths, a tree house, creek with fish and crayfish. Just to name a few. As great as the house is, we spent little time there. There is so much to see and do no matter how long you\'re stay you will need and crave another stay.

Just Perfect!!!

We absolutely had an amazing, wonderful stay at this lovely, serene, comfortable home. We had the sliding door open to hear the flowing creek while enjoying the beautiful fireplace ! Absolutely one of our favorites on vrbo.We would love to return again! Thank you so very much!!!

The most amazing time and beautiful place we've ever been to

Thanking God for giving us the oportunity for having found Dawn and Craig. This vacation stay at The Still Place has not only allowed our family to unite in a way that we needed, but it has awakened an inner spirit of inspiration, love, creativity and peace from within. Thank you so much!!!! Wow from the beautiful home, whistling Creek, incredible mountain views, great hiking, fully stocked pantry to the little special and personal touches found throughout. We had brought tons of food that we actually didn\'t end up using so we blessed the home just like we were blessed. There\'s so much more we can say, but I would keep you on here forever. We will DEFINITELY COME BACK IM JESUS NAME. May God bless you Always. Thank you for everything. From the Carcamo family

Great getqwat

Wonderful property — perfect for small kids. The hobbit house and tree house did not disappoint. Lots of groceries on hand in the house — thanks Dawn. Would recommend bringing a hammock to string between trees and watch the stars. Wonderful stay.
