The condo is fully-furnished, on the top corner of a ten-story apartment building located in Akatlar, a residential district on the European side of Istanbul. It is full of light and quiet in the middle of a vibrant neighborhood. The living & dining rooms have picture windows with an expansive view of this 24-hour city.

There are three bedrooms, two with queen sized beds and the third with a foldout sofa. A couch in the living room can also be used as a bed. The balcony shared by the two larger bedrooms allows a view of the Asian shores and the Bosphorus. A little table and chairs are there for a cup of coffee in the morning, watching the neighborhood come alive and listening to melodious calls for prayers from the little mosque in the distance.

The kitchen is as useful and cute as can be - fully renovated in 2008. All appliances, china, glasses & utensils are right there for your use.

In this eclectic, vibrant neighborhood professionals, young families, retired couples, school age children and baby strollers intermingle at all times. The building is secure with access only to residents.

The dining room has my parents\' elegant antique set that seats 8. Sideboards contain other necessities you may need to feel at home. The living room has modern seating and a flat panel TV on the wall.

Bakeries that open with freshly baked goodies at 7 am are across the street , drycleaner and hairstylist right there; a few steps away are the grocer, vegetable and fruit vendors; a bit further are banks, ATM, cafes, a theater and newsstand that carries the \"International Herald Tribune\" and most other publications. The lively, award-winning shopping center (Akmerkez) is only 5 minutes away. Just a little further is upscale Etiler with restaurants, bookstores and chic residents.

Metered cabs outside your door will take you affordably and efficiently all over this metropolis of 15 million. Public transportation is also very convenient, with a bus stop across the street and metro within a 15-minute walk.
